How I Work With Students
Lesson Pathways
Pedagogical Framework
What We Focus On Each Week
Tone, Voicing & Intonation
Developing internal oral cavity resonance, relaxing jaw pressure, and centering pitch against drone intervals so you never pinch sharp in the upper register.
Ergonomics & Fluidity
Keeping fingers close to the pearls, mastering chromatic and scale patterns, developing smooth octave transitions, and spotting pad leaks before they cause frustration.
Smart Practice Habits
“Practice every day you choose to eat.” Breaking tough passages down to three isolated notes with rhythmic variation so muscle memory sticks effortlessly.
Respecting Everyone's Time
Studio Policies
24-Hour Cancellation Notice
Your weekly lesson time is reserved exclusively for you. If you need to reschedule, please give at least 24 hours' notice so I can offer that time to another student and schedule a makeup session without charge.
Playable Reeds & Equipment
You cannot build consistent tone on chipped or exhausted reeds. Students must have at least four playable, rotated reeds in their case at all times, a working neck strap, and an instrument free of severe leaks.
